Bush Whacker

I finally had a chance to give the front of the house some overdue attention. All the bushes were given a haircut. It's about as creative as the local barber where any man, no matter what they ask for, all come out looking like they're ready for bootcamp. I would love to shave the bushes in the shape of a swan, a rainbow, or Mickey Mouse. But the squared off look will have to do for now.

Any Given Sunday

It's just another Sunday on Moraga. We fire up the computer, turn on the TV, and proceed to watch the Full On Unicorns battle it out on NFL.

Frank enjoys tracking the NFL events.

Oktoberfest 2005

Here are a few photos from the archives. Munchen, 2005 - I arrived to a party in full swing. Melanie and Todd were living in town. Kelli and Erwin arrived from Brussels. Frank flew in the day before I did. Once I got off the plane, we dropped off my luggage, freshened up my lipstick, and headed out to the Oktoberfest kick-off. We saw the first kegs roll down the street, and we knew we were on the right path to the Theirsseweisen, the fairground dedicated to the 2 week long festival.

We created some fantastic memories those few days. Tonight, San Francisco hosts their Oktoberfest by the Bay. I'll be in my dirndl and ready to drink a mas o' beer

PROST!

Shots from the plane

IMG_0736, originally uploaded by peepinit.

Taken with one of my favorite iPhone apps - Hipstamatic - I used the Lucifer lens just after our plane emerged from the fog bank. The hills you see peeking out are just the peaks between Half Moon Bay and the Peninsula.

Tie one the knot over

IMG_5971, originally uploaded by peepinit.

On August 14, 2010, Katherine and Rob tied the knot!

The ceremony was well attended by friends, family, and a golf cart at the San Gabriel Country Club. We drank a fun Arnold Palmer, which seemed to lubricate the crowd.

Frank & I are so happy for the Garrett's.

New Year - New Ideas

From New Year's 2010

It's New Year's Weekend and I've reflected on 2009 and set my sights on what is possible for 2010. 2009 was a year of major events - the wedding, three vacations (Hawaii, Mexico, London and Amsterdam), and a marathon on my rehabilitated hip. I had good times with my family, and I look forward to more good times in 2010.

In 2010...mind find ways to incorporate my photography in my life every day; body focus on strengthening my core; spirit enjoy more stress free time.

Trash the Dress

As part of the wedding photography package that I bought from Lindsey Cahill we received a "Trash the Dress" session. A TTD can be taken literally, where you really trash the dress, or you can just have a good time in the dress. I chose the latter option, so that I could preserve my dress while still doing some fun things in it. The photos will be online within a few days from Lindsey, but in the meantime, here are a few teasers that will at least let you see how I looked...oh, and Frank, too.

We took a few photos in my convertible. Here is a reflection shot outside of the GAP Headquarters on the Embarcadero. Notice the background image:

Frank & I ended the night by eating at Perry's on Union Street. When we walked in the door, the hostess said, "um, any special occasion?" We laughed.
